THE METRO HOTEL IN SAN FRANCISCO

My favorite part about being in San Francisco is listening to the city sounds, the buses, the fog horn, the people, and being at The Metro Hotel let's you be apart of all of that. The windows in my room opened out to the street where I could hear the trolleybuses hum by and the people laugh as they shuffled home. The original architecture of my room and the entire hotel makes you feel like you are in your own little apartment rather than just some stiff hotel room, it is the absolute best way to embrace San Francisco culture. 

The Metro Hotel is centered amongst tons of restaurants, bars and coffee shops, I recommend 4505 Burgers & BBQ! I've stayed at plenty of places in the Wharf and in Union Square, but nothing compares to this location in the Haight-Ashbury district and in walking distance of several other neighborhoods. If you are looking for a place to stay in SF you need to ditch the chain hotels in the ridiculously tourist areas of the Wharf and Union Square, and you absolutely have to make a reservation with the Metro Hotel, there is no better way to experience San Francisco!
