I was so excited for this post to go up because it is seriously one of my favorite spots in the world. Garrapata inspired our first trip to Big Sur and has given me a reason to return every trip since. We try to plan a trip during the spring to catch all the flowers in bloom and get that spring time gloomy weather, as you can tell, we nailed it.
Make sure to wear shoes that you don't mind getting dirty, or just go barefoot. I can’t tell you how many times I have been caught in the mud down there and almost lost a pair of shoes. Try to visit this secret spot at sunset, the sun goes down just beyond the flowers over the ocean creating the most unbelievable sunset. But if you can’t make it for sunset, don’t worry, I went in the pouring rain and loved every second of it.
