FALL IN YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK
YOSEMITE NATIONAL PARK, CALIFORNIA
My favorite time of the year to travel is during fall. Unfortunately, fall comes and goes much faster than most of the seasons. You can get extremely lucky catching a place in the peak of fall season when all the leaves are turning to that gold color, everything comes to life for me.
This is Yosemite in the fall, and it is absolutely magical. I make a point to travel to the eastern sierras every October and Yosemite is always on my list. The weather is getting cooler, the leaves are all a unique shade of gold, and the roads are less crowded. If you want to visit Yosemite I always recommend coming between September- November. This way you can actually take a picture without a million children running around. The summertime is like Disneyland on a Saturday, on a three day weekend. It is absolute chaos. So if you have been dying to go to Yosemite, try to plan for the fall, I promise it will be worth it.
For some reason during the fall, the deer seem to feel more comfortable coming out from hiding. They are so peaceful and beautiful, I could watch them all day.
We always travel with a blanket or a chair in the car. You never know when you're going to want to stop and watch the climbers on El Cap or eat lunch down by the Merced River.
